This blog is a weekly installment of a story that began as a dream. Unfortunately, my alarm woke me up before it ended. That was over two years ago, and I am dying to know how it would end! So, to get it out of my brain, and find some resolution, I am going to write it out.
Story Premise: When budding naturalist Bryn Baird realizes her boyfriend and life was a facade, she finds solace and strength as she hikes the Appalachian trail.
Here's a teaser: “CLIMB!” the muddy man said as he grabbed Bryn's rear and helped hoist her up the wet slippery ridge. A huffing black bear lumbered toward them on the narrow Appalachian trail.
Bryn reached upward, her fingers searched eagerly for a good rock to hold on to. Perhaps it was the adrenaline pulsing through her veins, but time seemed to stand still. As she ascended the steep climb to another ledge, she started questioning her life choices. How did she get herself in this predicament? Was it just two weeks ago she was day dreaming of wedding plans? Her thoughts drifted back to that day.
